ENSURE THE FRESHEST COFFEE FLAVOR IN EVERY CUP
Here are a couple tips to ensure the freshest coffee flavor in every cup.
Water quality
Since your cup of coffee is mostly water, it only makes sense to use the best water possible. Water quality can and will greatly affect your coffee’s taste. We recommend using a filtered source of cold water. Reverse Osmosis filtered water is great.
Measurements
We recommend using 2 ground tablespoons of coffee for every 6 ounces of water. This may seem like a lot of coffee to some, but trust us, this is the best way to experience high quality coffee.
Grind Just Before Brewing
Grinding before brewing ensures the freshest coffee by releasing the flavors and aromas inside the coffee beans so they can be savored in your cup. Your grind should have settings on it to adjust the grind level. We personally use a fine grind level for most brewing methods, except a French press, which requires a coarse grind level
Brew Only What You Plan to Drink
Fresh brewed coffee should not sit on a heated burner very long. If it does, you’ll end up cooking the coffee and it may result in a scorched taste.
