FEATURED: THE TUCSON TRI GIRLS.

Story told by Holly J.

It was great to get out and make a difference. Another fun thing about the clean up, was that many of the cyclists who rode by us--said Thank you! We didn't go unnoticed! I would like to say a special thanks to Susie for organizing this for us. And, another big thank you to everyone who helped us clean up Old Spanish Trail Saturday!

For a short two hours this Saturday my family and I joined several fellow TriGirls (and their moms, is this the brunch we planned?) to pick up garbage along Old Spanish Trail in an effort to beautify one of the places many of us frequent, either running or riding.

The effort was headed up by Susie D., joined by Bizzy, Nicole R., Kathy C., Polly, and myself. Everyone gathered at 8:00 a.m. at the church at Old Spanish Trail and Houghton (this is very close to my house, making the waking up part easier), and collectively decided that we should move a bit down the road, as there was more to pick up there.
